San Luca Palace - Lucca

This place suits me perfectly, offering excellent wi-fi, a 24-hour reception, and a cozy bar/lounge. On my first stay, the staff kindly guided me to my destination. I highly recommend it! I'll be back for Christmas.

The friendliness,helpfulness and considerate staff from cleaners through to the front desk staff. Bed linen was changed every day. The choice for breakfast was vast and very enjoyable. Bedroom was very large with one large en-suite for my able bodied wife and one even larger en-suite for me as I am disabled and confined to a wheelchair. City on your doorstep, bus station 10min walk, train station 25min walk and 10min walk to the walls where everyone walks, cycles,runs and sits eating ice-cream in the sun.

The en-suite equipped for the disabled has everything except a very essential grab bar/rail for transfer from wheelchair to toilet bowl, no grab bars/rails and no seat in the level deck shower.

Great hotel. Beautiful, large room and terrific amenities. Easy to find and great location. Friendly and accommodating staff. I highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate returning some day.

The truth, what's good and what's not

Comfortable beds and a friendly staff ensured a pleasant experience while enjoying a great breakfast selection. The location was ideal for exploring nearby attractions and immersing myself in the local culture.

Unfortunately, spotty Wi-Fi and some street noise disrupted my planning efforts. The odd bathroom setup could use better safety initiatives to enhance accessibility and comfort for all guests.

Value for the money in a 4star hotel,super location, great service, old style Italian luxury, super clean, relaxed elegance. Best hotel I have stayed at so far, in 20 years of staying in Lucca centre. Walking distance to hertz rent a car, so easy to train in to city centre, and stay inside the Walls, then quickly walk out and rent a car to explore the country side. They had a better room and graciously bumped me up to a suite because they could, and didn't make a huge deal about it. Had bikes gratis for riding on the wall. Breakfast was geat, croissants were warm and fresh. For sure my new favorite.

Only that I didn't know about it earlier. I would def rec. This to anyone.

wifi was a bit hard to use

The location offers a short stroll to lively shops and restaurants, with a good breakfast spread including cereals. The spacious Superior Double Room was a pleasant surprise compared to similar accommodations elsewhere. I was disappointed with some dated elements in the room. An unfortunate incident involving an overcharge at a local restaurant marred an otherwise enjoyable evening.

A charming escape in Lucca

The cute staff was good, while our spacious room was a perfect retreat after exploring Lucca's beauty. The breakfast spread was good!

The Wi-Fi connection was inconsistent , tricky to share our adventures in real-time.

The staff were very friendly and gave us excellent reccommendations for places to eat. They were very polite and happy.breakfast was good value, and the rooms very large and comfortable. We stayed in a deluxe bedroom.

We loved the staff. Breakfast Buffet was lovely. Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff was gracious. Great location. We would highly reommend it.

I recently spent 4 nights in a Single Room and loved how cozy and nicely furnished it was with an incredibly comfy bed. The hotel had a great lounge area and a lovely terrace for unwinding, which made chilling out easy. It would have been nice to have parking included in the package. just a thought for improvement! 🌟
